What TagOS does
Connect a physical object to the information about it, and keep that connection working for years. TagOS is new, so here's what works today and what we're still building.
Available now
Permanent tags
Each tag gets a link with a long random ID that can't be guessed. Move it to another object or switch it off at any time, without touching the physical tag.
Object pages
A mobile page for every object, with its description, details and contact person. Serial numbers and contact details stay hidden unless you choose to show them.
Access you control
Make each page public, private to your workspace, or protected with a password. New objects start private.
Activity history
Every tap and change is recorded. Filter it and export it as a CSV file.
Bulk tools
Import up to 1,000 tags at a time from a CSV file, sort them into groups and export them with their links.
In development
Teams and roles
Invite colleagues as owner, admin, manager, member or viewer.
Photos and documents
Add images and manuals to an object page.
Forms and workflows
Damage reports, inspections and checklists, filled in on the spot.
Maintenance
Schedules, reminders and a service history that stays with the object.
iPhone and Android apps
Scan and write NFC tags directly from the app.
REST API
Connect your own systems with API keys and webhooks.
What TagOS doesn't do
TagOS works with NFC tags that phones can read. It doesn't support UHF RFID, which needs dedicated readers. Standard NFC tags can also be copied, so don't rely on a tap as proof of identity or presence. Read how NFC and RFID compare.
