Questions
Do I need to buy tags from you?
No. TagOS works with standard NDEF-compatible NFC tags, such as NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216, from any supplier.
Can I pay for a plan yet?
Not yet. TagOS is free while we build it. We'll announce before paid plans start, and nothing will be charged without you choosing a plan.
Does someone need an app to tap a tag?
No. Tapping opens the object page in the phone's browser. To write a tag, you can use any NFC writing app.
Can I change what a tag shows after it's attached?
Yes. Change the object page, or move the tag to another object, from your desk. The physical tag stays as it is.
Does this work with UHF RFID?
No. TagOS supports NFC tags that phones can read. UHF RFID needs dedicated readers and isn't supported.
Are tags secure?
Standard NFC tags can be copied, so a tap should not be treated as proof of identity. Keep sensitive information on private or password-protected pages.
